How will I be able to write when Adam Young left me speechless? Okay, not a very clever sentence over there since it’s senseless. A person can still write even if they’re left speechless (get the logic?)
Anyway...
Another very bright place I have seen and now will share to you guys, is my experience during my FIRST EVER OWL CITY CONCERT!
It was the first and so far, the best! Oh my goodness, I can’t wait for the next concert!
I haven’t been a huge fan for so long. Only last year have I discovered the phenomena which was Owl City. And I stand as living proof that it’s not always about the quantity of time you spend but rather the quality. Adam’s music makes us feel alot of emotions. Mixed emotions, even.That is one thing I really love about his music. It speaks, and it means something to him, and to those who listen. His lyrics may sometimes seem disconnected or random, but don’t you think that’s beautiful? It mirrors how weird and random he can be, how we can be, how life can be. He doesn’t sing about just one topic.He goes from galaxies to stars to ice cream flavors to how wolves bite to elements in the periodic table to family, love and faith. He isn’t even afraid to go delve into his deepest imaginations- which some of us are terrified to go to.
So yeah, Owl City has been my playlist for the past (many) months and will surely still be there til I grow older.
BEFORE THE DAY
Let me tell you a little story.... When my friends and I first heard that Owl City will have a concert here in Manila, we were ecstatic! Even more so, when we found out it was free! HA! We gathered together and formed our group. We called ourselves “6/1000000 Fireflies” (recall “Fireflies- Owl City”), and started planning on what we can do for the concert. First, we thought of making our own owl costumes but it seemed too difficult. Then, we thought of buying owl beanies for ourselves and Adam; but then a brilliant idea of wearing owl onesies came about and caught our attention.
So we did it! We ordered online and got it just in time for the concert held last May 8, 2015 at Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater.
But sadly, only 4 out of the 6 fireflies were able to go to the concert :( but hey, there’s a reason for everything and there will surely be a next time (Adam said so himself).
THE DAY//5-08-15//
3 out of 4 fireflies met up in our High School and helped in organizing donations to send to Iloilo. It really felt good be back as alumni and give back to our Alma Mater.
At 3:45 pm, we set off to go to the venue (BGC). We met our 4th member there and then we changed into our onesies. Hahaha.

I guess we really are crazy because we wore very warm onesies in a tropical country during summer. Anything for Owl City! And special thanks to OCPH for giving our gifts to Adam! You guys are the best!
Only 2 of us got special tickets during the time OwlCityPhilippines held its promo with Bonifacio High Street. So 2 hoot owls were inside and 2 were outside. I was outside. But it didn’t matter :) I still got to hear, sing and dance along to the music! Joaquin and I didn’t even take off the onesie!
Adam was Adam-azing!
Breanne was gorgeous and the live band was rocking it!
I couldn’t have asked for a better night because I had the person who brought me Owl City singing and dancing by my side.

The concert passed by in a bliss. Euphoria all over!
It's not over yet! After the concert, alot of people took our photos and posed with us. Which was fun! Because we were all fans of OC. We didn’t get a meet and greet pass to see Adam, but we did get autographs with the help of the very friendly staff of MMILIVE.
HE SAW US IN OUR OWL COSTUMES GAAAH !!!! WORTH IT! SO WORTH IT :)
The night was not over yet for us 4 hoot owls... Someone came up to me and asked if they could interview us! MYX. MYX asked to INTERVIEW US. Gosh. It just kept getting better and better!
I even got to see two of my friends that I thought I’d never see again.
Thank God so much for this wonderful experience.

AFTER THE DAY
PCD (post-concert depression) just got real.
But I’m happy for this chance to hear Owl City live.
It’s true what Adam said; “Owl City’s back”
And we will support you every step of the way :)
